A seasoned communications professional and writer, Melissa has more than 25 years of experience providing leaders with advice, guidance, writing, and communications programming designed to deliver clear, concise, and compelling messaging and thought leadership. During her career, she has worked closely with executives across the financial services landscape including commercial banking, capital markets, equity trading, investment banking, treasury solutions, electronic markets, and anti-money laundering.
Melissa spent 15 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, most recently as lead communications partner for the head of Anti-Money Laundering, for several regional heads within the Global Commercial Bank, and for the New York City Market President. She joined the bank in 2004 on the Global Markets and Global Investment Banking media relations team and quickly transitioned into a more strategic communications relationship management role for the Global Equities, Prime Brokerage, and Global Currencies, Rates & Commodities businesses.
Earlier in her career, she was Director of Corporate Communications for the NASDAQ Stock Market and Vice President, Public Affairs for TD Waterhouse (now TD Ameritrade).
Melissa cut her teeth in communications and financial services at a boutique public relations firm, where she counseled traditional financial services firms as well as their ‘new’ online counterparts during the height of the dot-com boom.
A graduate of Providence College, Melissa lives in Rockville Centre, New York with her family.
